The short film “Heart Beat” tells the life and death story of two girls. Elly, a girl with congenital heart disease, only way to get a cure is a heart transplant. Anna is a rebellious teenager who lost her life in a car accident. In the end, Anna’s parents decided to donate their daughter’s heart in the wish that Anna could continue to live in this world in another way. Anna and Elly first meet inside Elly’s heart. Both girls are shocked by the sudden change, they can’t accept that they have to share the same heart for the rest of their lives. They get to know each other through arguments and finally learn to accept the reality in front of them. Anna and Elly’s story is symbolic of every one of us. We all have different subconscious within us, but how to make the right choices and judgments is something we all need to learn.
